As Odot takes numerous actions on behalf of their clients, they struggled in making their customer data clearly accessible. Sending data manually to clients was time-consuming and inconvenient for clients to keep track of, which is why a customer portal was clearly needed.

The Request
The portal had to be user-friendly, visually appealing, and provide clients with an overview of all their sites and energy contracts at a glance. To make it easier for clients to keep track of everything, we added useful features such as a map of the sites and a timeline of price clicks.

To get a clear understanding of the needs of both Odot and their clients, we conducted workshops on personas, processed the as-is customer journey into the ideal to-be customer journey, and determined the first release. Usability is key to this customer portal, so we ran it through extensive tests with end-users to ensure it provides the best experience.
Odot needed their customer portal to match their website in terms of style, as well as work fluently on all screen sizes. Our team created a pixel-perfect design delivered as a fully responsive prototype along with corresponding design specifications.
When delivering the prototypes, cooperation with Odot’s front-end developer team ran very smoothly. We kept the turnaround time to a minimum thanks to fast and efficient communication.

With this, the customer portal offers even more value to its clients, as big electricity and gas suppliers don’t yet disclose this data.
